Malvern Dermatology is currently seeking an experienced medical receptionist / Enrolled Nurse for our specialist dermatology rooms in Unley. We are excited to offer this rare opportunity for a medical receptionist /Enrolled nurse to join our team.
This position would primarily be for reception duties all day on a Friday and up to 20 hours per week on other days for a mix of nursing and reception. This would provide a unique opportunity for an Enrolled nurse who is looking for part time work and would like to have a mix of reception and nursing within a private specialist dermatology clinic. It would be ideal for a person willing to work with a team of dermatologists at front of house and to also assist them with excisions and procedures and all other aspects of patient care and to also provide exceptional treatment and care in all facets of aesthetics while maintaining a high standard of patient experience. It would be highly advantageous for you to have reception experience and you would need to be a fully qualified enrolled nurse.
This position would be on a permanent/part time basis, definitely on a Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm primarily and up to 20 hours over other days in the week. There is no weekend work required. However, the successful candidate would need to also be flexible to cover sick and annual leave as required. This is a new position and if you could start immediately that would be wonderful but we are happy to wait for the right person!

The role would consist of but not be limited to:
RECEPTION
- All aspects of front desk, including meeting and greeting patients, patient billing, confirmation of appointments, raising invoices and taking payment for such, processing Medicare claims and responding to emails and all GP correspondence. Knowledge of Xestro Medical software would be ideal but not necessary. Training would be provided
NURSING
- Assisting the dermatologists with excisions and procedures
- Suture removals
- Dressings and wound care
- Biologic patient education and administration
You would need to:
- Be confident to work autonomously and within a team
- Complete accurate medial records and documentation
- Display professionalism, accountability and integrity at all times
- Ensure compliance with all safety and medical standards
- Be a strong team player with strong interpersonal communication skills
- Have strong computer skills and be comfortable working with technology and able to quickly learn and gain competence with a variety of medical practice software packages
- Be highly organized with a strong work ethic and enjoy contributing toward efficient clinical workflows
