The 30 person head office finance function is split across specialisation areas of accounting and compliance, management accounting, international accounts, transactions and payroll. International locations have local finance functions, supported and overseen from the Australian head office.
This role sits within the head office Australian accounting and compliance team. This is a hands-on accounting role that will offer you a wide range of financial and taxation experience as well as opportunity for future growth and development within the team or across the wider finance function.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management and organisational skills, advanced problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, a positive attitude and be driven to make a difference. This is a developmental role and will suit a candidate wanting growth in their career long term.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly results reports including variance analysis and commentary
- General ledger Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Assist with taxation compliance for the Group including income tax, FBT and GST
- Involvement in year-end audit and preparation of financial statements, including liaison with external auditors
- Preparation of tri-annual stocktake and inventory reconciliation
- Assisting with annual Group insurance renewal
- Identify areas for process improvement and efficiencies.
- Various projects as required
Skills and experience
- The successful applicant will need the following:
- CA/CPA qualified or near qualified
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Effective prioritisation, organisation and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Desire and drive for future growth and development
