Part-time - Receptionist/Interest Group Coordinator 

Hours: Monday to Wednesday - 9am - 5pm. Flexibility to work additional hours when required. 

About the Queen Adelaide Club:

Offering an exclusive CBD location and setting, the Queen Adelaide Club is located on North Terrace and was established in 1909. It is a private Members Club delivering a premier level of Member Services ranging from fine dining, hospitality, leisure activities and private Club facilities.

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced customer service professional to serve as the primary point of contact for our Members. In addition to Reception duties, this role involves assisting and coordinating administrative tasks for an Interest Group Committee while maintaining the highest standards of administrative and clerical work.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, together with a passion for providing exceptional customer service to ensure a welcoming and positive experience for all guests. 

In this position, you will have the ability to build strong relationships to provide exceptional Club and Member service.  You will be required to work independently whilst also supporting Management and other departments.

Key experience and attributes include:

  • Proven experience in a similar role as Reception 
  • Demonstrated telephonist and receptionist skills
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well-developed customer service skills
  • Sound numeracy and accuracy skills
  • Computer literacy and keyboard skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Suite - Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute as an effective team member
  • Ability to prioritise diverse and changing workloads
  • A flexible approach and a genuine willingness to learn and assist others
  • Experience in minute-taking (desirable but not essential)

About you:

  • Well organised, efficient, and excellent time management is a must including task delivery within specified time frames and deadlines
  • A highly motivated person with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of our dynamic team
  • Have a polite, friendly and enthusiastic manner
  • Excellent presentation and personal grooming
  • Strong, positive, and flexible work ethic
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity and respect for all
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • Willingness to participate in the continuous improvement and development of the Club
  • Experience in a Member-based organisation along with knowledge of Publisher, Micropower software, website and Adobe suite of products (desirable but not essential)
