The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager to join our Retail Energy Billing team. Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will lead a small team to ensure the outstanding delivery of our Embedded Network services to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the delivery of on time, accurate billing, billing reports and accounts to our customers, plus internal reporting requirements
- Managing market and stakeholder relationships with developers, customers, suppliers and regulators
- Managing key service & system providers - meter readers, meter data providers, billing system providers - ensuring that the timeliness and quality of our Retail Operations services are met
- Managing regulatory compliance for ENM & ENO roles, maintaining & operating MSATS activities for the ENM role
- Ensuring full compliance with AEMO accreditation and AER licensing obligations for all market participant roles
- Developing and maintaining best practice processes for the delivery of Retail Operations services across multiple utility services
- Financial & management reporting on the performance of Retail Operations performance & key operations metrics, implementing initiatives to continuously improve them
- Developing customer relationship plans to ensure the renewal and growth of commercial business relationships
Your Background
This role suits someone who is results-driven and thrives on providing customer care, developing solutions and capitalizing on opportunities in a constantly changing environment.
You will bring the following:
- 5+ years experience at operational management level in the utilities supply industry, preferably in retail energy
- Retail energy market experience with a demonstrated understanding of tariffs and billing
- Experience in leading service delivery teams
- Demonstrated account management excellence
- Strong understanding of retail energy operations, energy retail markets, embedded networks and the frameworks they are governed by
- Capability in managing market systems ie, MSATS
- Intermediate ability with MS Excel & other MS Office systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time & task management to meet customer deadlines
- Positive team player who works collaboratively
- Experience in the Energy Market and billing systems e.g. Utilibill, will be highly regarded
