Purpose of the Position
Contribute to the operational execution of departments Energy’s pricing strategy, providing relevant information and analysis to stakeholders, ensuring all systems are accurate and up to date and implementing controls to deliver confidence in gross margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring pricing information is accurate across pricing and billing systems
- Supporting the price change process to ensure seamless delivery and ensuring the wider business stakeholders are informed about what is changing and why
- Contribute to decision of pricing levels for retail and C&I customers, using insight into both costs and market conditions to ensure a balance between competitiveness and profitability is maintained
- Produce pricing collateral and support materials for internal and external stakeholders, such as Basic Plan Information Documents (BPIDs) and Energy Price Fact Sheets (EPFSs) created through the respective government portals.
- Maintain and update Ampol Energy’s internal pricing systems
- Establish and maintain operational processes, documentation, controls, exception and management reporting with regard to our pricing systems
- Ensuring that pricing is accurately represented on third party websites
- Support cross functional projects with pricing insight and analysis
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of electricity distribution and retail pricing in the Australian Market
- Demonstrated experience in working with EnergyMadeEasy and VicEnergyCompare portals
- Curiosity and an analytical mindset making sense of multiple data sets and deriving insight
- Commercial modelling experience and a basic understanding of finance
- Demonstrated experience supporting pricing strategy and business decisions
- Ability to collaborate widely to build trust with a wide range of stakeholders
- Effective communication with a range of stakeholders
- Initiative to investigate and analyse new commercial opportunities
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of SQL is a bonus
- Pricing is displayed accurately in our systems and any pricing errors identified
- are rectified in a timely manner and escalated internally in order to reduce customer impact
- Relevant business stakeholders are kept informed of any changes to pricing and the likely impact of pricing changes is communicated earl
