An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join a leading provider of software solutions for the Australian energy market. This full-time role is critical in facilitating the understanding, documenting and approval of customer requirements, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure we deliver high-quality solutions to enable our customer’s businesses.
As the Business Analyst, you will support the success of Brave customers by ensuring we are efficiently delivering products and services. You will work across all phases of the project delivery cycle and focus on delivering quality products that satisfy customer requirements.
Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
- Taking ownership of the end-to-end business requirement processes
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business
- Supporting delivery through effective utilisation of business analysis tools and methodologies
- Proactively engaging with customers
- Identifying and raising opportunities for improvement and mitigating risk
- Working closely with product development to produce the required documentation; and
- Owning delivery and quality to meet business requirements.

Mandatory
- A drive to deliver quality product and outcomes for customers
- Enjoy challenges and being empowered to deliver
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Business Analyst role
- Knowledge and experience in Australian energy markets and utilities (current Australian energy market industry knowledge, understanding of market rules and procedures)
- A balance of technical and business skills
- Experience in software delivery projects
- Ability to quickly assimilate new information and data to translate meaningful outcomes
- Demonstrated capacity to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience in writing reports and business cases
- High-level interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage and consult with a range of stakeholders and to foster productive working relationships both internally and with customers
- Sound knowledge of Business Analyst tools and processes; and
- A positive approach to change and flexibility to work changes into your surrounding environment.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
Desirable
- Experience with UX/UI design requirements
- Motivated to contribute to organisational change and culture
- Knowledge of our products and/or processes; and
- Experience with the vendor aspect of software delivery.
