The ECG comprises a number of teams, including Investigation and Enforcement Action Teams.This recruitment process will establish a pool of investigators to fill current and future vacancies in our Investigation and Enforcement Action Teams.What you will bring to ASICAs an investigator, you will contribute to ASIC's investigation of suspected misconduct, including obtaining enforcement outcomes by way of civil, criminal or administrative action. More specifically, you will:
  • Work on a variety of matters as part of multi-disciplinary enforcement teams.
  • Undertake inquiries by working with stakeholder teams, serving notices, conducting intelligence searches, creating evidence matrices and chronologies.
  • Employ a range of evidence gathering techniques, including conducting examinations, interviewing witnesses, taking witness statements and undertaking searches using evidence management technology and other systems to review documents.
  • Derive insights from data, information and documents, and compile them into relevant evidence, reports and memos.
  • Provide investigative support to senior investigators, lawyers and broader investigation teams.
  • Contribute to the preparation and conduct of criminal and civil litigation in State and Federal Courts, including compiling criminal and civil briefs, and assisting with the drafting and preparation of legal documents.
  • Participate in investigation planning.
