What does the job look like?
Reporting to the Group Manager, Safety, Health & Wellbeing, and as a member of the Linfox Corporate Safety, Health and Wellbeing Team, this role has responsibility for shaping and supporting our safety culture with a focus on care, trust, and inclusion.
Located in Essendon Fields, Victoria, the role supports all business functions across Australia and New Zealand with specific accountabilities to:
- Develop business wide programs, campaigns, and initiatives to raise awareness, increase knowledge and drive deeper ownership of safety, health and wellbeing
- Undertake research both locally and internationally to identify best practice approaches that could be adopted by sites to improve engagement and drive better outcomes
- Partner with support functions and business units when developing communications, presentations, video content and publications to support safety, health, and wellbeing.
With demonstrated experience working across multi-site large scale businesses in a safety, health, and wellbeing team, the Engagement & Innovation Manager, Safety, Health & Wellbeing will partner with Operations and Support functions (inc. National Safety Managers and HR business partners) to gather feedback and discuss the best ways to engage with leaders and team members when developing and executing programs and initiatives.
This role would suit an energetic and innovative leader who has multi-site experience in embedding a risk-based approach to keep people safe both physically and mentally.
Key accountabilities
- Develop tactics and actions to support the implementation and execution of the Linfox Safety, Health, and Wellbeing Strategy
- Co-ordinate the safety, health and wellbeing reward and recognition program with a focus on sharing and acknowledging effort to keep the team safe, healthy, and well.
- Take the lead in researching new and innovative ways to help strengthen our approach and results for safety, health and wellbeing
- Develop Safety, Health and Wellbeing content for various internal and external Linfox communication publications including Solutions Magazine and Foxtales.
- Experience creating, developing, and delivering presentations and programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience working in a team with responsibilities in safety, health, wellbeing is preferred but not essential
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Communications, Safety or other related field
- Preferred experience working in transport, logistics, industrial, energy or resources sector.
