Eden Ritchie is seeking an Engagement Officer to provide project support for a broad range of activities
- 27 month contract
- Brisbane CBD or Berrinba location
As the Engagement Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Plan and undertake activities that support the communication and engagement strategy for specific projects, including independent coordination of project activities and oversight of project deliverables. Some engagements may require attendance at events that are out of normal office hours.
- Build, maintain and improve relationships and networks both internally and externally to enable implementation of communication and engagement deliverables and effective events planning that engage the target audience. This may include managing potential conflicts through clear communication.
- Apply communication and engagement techniques to communicate effectively with the target audience using audience analytics to support stakeholder mapping.
- Under direction, negotiate and communicate with designated stakeholder groups on behalf of the program area within departmental guidelines.
- Establish and promote events, meetings and engagements on behalf of the organisation in conjunction with key projects and business needs.
- Assist in developing communication and engagement material that is effective and adheres to Queensland Government and Program written style and visual identity guidelines.
- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of communication and engagement and strategies that influence behaviour change and achieve key Program objectives.
Highly desirable to this role are:
- A qualification or relevant experience in stakeholder engagement and communication, would be well regarded.
- An understanding of biosecurity response activities and/or experience in applying your capabilities in a response environment will be highly regarded.
