The role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental/Civil Engineer to join our growing Waste & Resource Recovery team. With 2+ years' experience, you will assist in delivering waste, resource recovery and recycling infrastructure design; construction management projects. This is an outstanding early career development opportunity offering mentorship from industry experts for those wishing to develop a long-term career in waste & resource recovery.
As a member of a diverse infrastructure design team, there is opportunity to work across multidisciplinary projects.
Your key responsibilities will be to assist with:
- Assisting with project management of waste infrastructure and other waste related projects
- Assisting with engineering input into waste infrastructure designs including materials recycling facilities, resource recovery centres and other design projects
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and key stakeholders
Ideal applicants will have/be:
- Environmental/Civil Engineering qualifications, or similar
- 2+ years' experience, ideally within the landfill and waste industry
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
- Be based out of our Brisbane office, although there may be opportunities to be based at SMEC regional offices including Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast,
