The Role

Reporting to the Managing Consultant – Network & Infrastructure Solutions, the Engineer – NIS will deliver tailored high-quality solutions for CyberCX clients. The Engineer –NIS is responsible for ensuring that project work that is delivered to the client is outcome focused and remains appropriate for their business requirements.
Key roles and responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of cyber security projects aligned with the service catalogue
  • Support and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and third parties/vendors
  • Work with NIS clients to assist them in identifying and effectively managing problems that can be solved through the value provided by the NIS Practice
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies within a systems environment.
  • Support design and develop high quality business solutions and other projects
  • Provide customer support customers during preliminary installation and testing of developed software solutions or products
  • Recognise and promptly advise leadership of potential issues and potential follow-on business opportunities
  • Ensure consulting services are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Contribute to development of written detailed reports that document work completed and ensure that proposed system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with client organisation's architecture guidelines and requirements
  • Continuously develop skills and knowledge around the relevant technologies and solutions in market
  • Actively collaborate across CyberCX, and continuously look for ways to add value. Facilitate communication, partnerships, and cross-pollination across the business to better engage and service customers
About you

You are customer-obsessed and a self-starter, you go above and beyond to deliver extraordinary results and experiences for customers.
In addition to the above, you also possess:
  • Tertiary qualification in computer science, computer engineering or related field, or
  • equivalent experience
  • Professional level vendor certifications with CyberCX’s core technology partners
  • A minimum of 1 years gained from working in professional services, cyber security and/or technology industry is preferred, with experience in security integration and engineering
  • Exposure to architecture, design, implementation and integration of security, network, and/or server infrastructure. Including endpoint, firewall, WAF, NAC, data centre, wireless, SD-WAN, internet connectivity, unified communications, remote access, systems, virtualisation, and backups
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build sustainable, scalable solutions and processes to meet complex operational problems.
  • Skilled in responding to setbacks in an agile and resilient manner
