- Utilise the Bridge Management System to scope, develop, monitor and execute bridge maintenance, renewal or upgrade projects which align with strategic policies and guidelines.
- Preparation of briefs and specifications required for scoping, development, contract administration or investigation type work.
- Inspect, monitor and report on bridge and structure performance generally, including new construction projects throughout delivery until completion.
- Although there are no staff reporting to this position, the incumbent is required to supervise technical staff or consultants in the performance of duties where directed.
- Provide specialised technical advice on maintenance, renewal and construction of bridges and structures to project delivery and other staff, including training as appropriate.
- Represent the Department on state and national committees relevant to the primary duties as required.
- Perform other duties in other areas of State road asset management as required.
- Satisfactory completion of a relevant 4 year (minimum) university degree in engineering that is accredited by Engineers Australia; or satisfactory completion of academic qualifications in Engineering that are recognised by Engineers Australia as being an equivalent qualification.
- Current driver licence.
- Post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline.
