AddressWood is currently recruiting for a Subsea Structural Engineer - Principal with extensive experience to manage and deliver Subsea Structural work packages at our Perth office.
The subsea group undertakes design and provides procurement and fabrication support for subsea SSIV's, manifolds, skids and mid-water arches amongst other things. We also have vast experience in the design of retrofit risers, mechanical clamps and other jacket appurtenances.
Under the guidance of the Business Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for tendering, developing and/or delivering work scopes as allocated by the project/s in collaboration with our existing engineering team. You will become part of a team focused on delivering solutions for our client's assets in Western Australia and the wider APAC region.

- Directing and assisting with the performance of design / concept & engineering of the project solutions.
- Directing and assisting with the development of specification and selection of subsea hardware for subsea production systems, including the testing and commissioning requirements of such systems.
- Estimate costs and timing to bring the project to execution.
- Directing and assisting in development of testing, installation, operation, and maintenance procedures.
- Attend Factory Acceptance Site Integration Tests of new equipment on Contractor's premises; in addition, coordinating the work of contractors employed to design, manufacture, and test subsea trees, wellheads and other equipment.
- Participate in Safety Reviews/HAZOP, Environmental Impact Assessments and Risk
- Assessments during the preparation of operations and ensure that the foreseeable effects of specific tasks are fully addressed.
- Engage in vendor management.
- Ensure that the project conforms to appropriate safety standards and carries all necessary safety assessments.
- Interact with department members to ensure that work is produced and issued in a timely manner and project information is distributed amongst them.

- Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Subsea Engineering or other similar disciplines relating to upstream oil and gas from a recognised university.
- 10+ years relevant experience in Subsea Engineering
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) with the ability to interface directly with clients and internal departments
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Experience in ownership and delivery of workscopes; developing tender estimates; and leading senior / project engineers.
- Ability to manage scopes both technically and commercially as Client focal point.
