Key responsibilities
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Research, evaluate and report on the application of new trends and practices suitable for use in traffic engineering, traffic control devices, traffic operations and temporary traffic management.
- Provide traffic engineering advice and support services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the development and delivery of technical training for engineers and technologists.
- Participate in the development and implementation of traffic engineering technology, with a focus on static traffic control and road safety devices.
- Develop strong, positive and productive relationships with other government agencies, local governments and other key stakeholders.
- Assist with the planning for the management of maintenance of traffic control signs on the state network.
- Undertake major project design reviews for signing and line marking.
- Review of technical guidelines such as the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and Queensland Guide to Traffic Management and other documents.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Criminal History Check.
- C" Class Driver's license.
