Glencore Coal Assets Australia (GCAA) has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager - Undergrounds & Technology to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the primary focus will be to provide engineering leadership and assistance to Underground operations in conjunction with GCAA Engineering Team. The role will also provide leadership to the Operational Technology function across surface and underground operations, implementing GCAA standards for Operational Technology networks and related cyber security.

You will be responsible for leading implementation of Fit for Purpose engineering & equipment lifecycle standards, providing expertise and assistance to develop, monitor and review engineering related safety management systems and develop engineering skills across operations through setting standards, aiding and mentoring the training and development of personnel.

You will have Tertiary Engineering qualifications in Electrical, Computing or a related discipline, five (5) years' experience at an underground coal mine in Australia in a senior engineering position with knowledge and experience with implementation of technology, process control systems, networks and related security highly desirable.

You have a proven ability to build trust, lead and influence direct and indirect areas of responsibility. You are able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, are highly organised with effective planning and capability to prioritise work; as well as possess high analytical skills with ability to think strategically. Other capabilities include negotiation, project and contractor management skills alongside risk, financial and business related acumen.
