Who are we looking for?
Working with our client Main Roads WA, we are seeking an Engineering Project Manager based in Northam. There are multiple roles on offer, and they will be offered as 12-month fixed term opportunities.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Preparing contract documentation, alongside performing the role of Superintendent's Representative, Site Engineer and/or QMR
- Assist the Contract Superintendent to ensure that works are completed to approved scope, budget, time and quality
- Working with contract surveillance officers in inspecting construction sites to ensure that work is being done according to drawings and specifications and as per Monitoring and Evaluation Plan
- Preparing site instructions, variation memos, contract closeout reports, contractor performance report and lessons learnt
- Manage projects through development and delivery phases including scope development, managing pre-construction activities, obtaining approvals including liaison with stakeholders
- Managing the project costs, schedule and scope
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience in preparing contract documents and managing the tender process
- Experience in quality assurance and the contract management process
- Knowledge in project management including financial management and resources management
- Research, analysis and problem solving skills
- Stakeholder relationship, negotiation and facilitation skills
- Basic Work site traffic management and White card certifications
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong knowledge and application of MS Project and AutoCAD (preferred)
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline with relevant 3-5 years of experience
