We are searching for an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join our team based in Balcatta. McCallum Surveys is an ISO9001 accredited, engineering surveying company that has been operating since 2011. Our business and success is built on the long term relationships and trust developed with both our clients and staff.
We work with a wide range of clients across Perth to provide an accurate, supportive and efficient delivery of project surveying. We only take on projects in the Perth metropolitan area, so the candidate will not be require to undertake any fly in/out roles.
We have a mix of roles available depending on your preference. We currently have Tier1 road and rail infrastructure projects, where you will be part of a large construction team or smaller single surveyor projects, where you work autonomously across multiple clients and projects. We can offer a diverse workload including high accuracy structural, building and concrete works, large scale bulk earthworks, road and rail infrastructure, aerial mapping and laser scanning and land development projects.
Our senior management are directly involved in the day to day operations of the business, working along side our project teams to nurture a supportive working environment . Roles and Responsibilities
- Control establishment, Construction Setout, Onsite machine control support, Design and Data verification and management, 3D modelling, Drafting and As Constructed Surveys on Civil, Infrastructure and Building Construction Projects
- Overseeing various surveying duties at any one time, managing a busy workload.
- Report directly to the Director and Survey Manager.
As the successful candidate you will have
- Formal Tafe Dimploma or Degree Surveying qualification
- Right to work in Australia
- 3 + years Surveying experience
- Experienced in the use of modern survey software including 12d, Autocad, 12D Feild, Carlson SurvPC, Pix4D, Virtual Surveyor or similar.
- RTK GPS and Robotic Totalstation knowledge
- Remote Pilot License (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in Construction Surveying with a strong technical understanding of survey field practices
- Experience of liaising with clients, authorities, external consultants
- A valid driver's license
- A strong commitment to safety
- Able to solve problems and show initiative
