ABOUT THE ROLE

Barker College is currently seeking 2 English Teachers based at our Hornsby campus.

  • 1 x Temporary full-time for Term 3, 2024 only
  • 1 x Permanent full-time commencing Term 3, 2024

Applicants for this position should be excellent classroom practitioners, good team colleagues, interested in the care and welfare of students, and have skill and experiences in teaching of English across all stage. Applicants will also need to be exemplary in their use of educational technology in the classroom.

  • Successful applicants will be expected to support the Mission, Vision and Values of the School.

  • Barker College is a child safe organisation and all statutory checks and references are required prior to confirmation of employment.  A NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a National Police Check will be required.
  • Barker College is committed to a safe work environment and all staff members work within our WHS Policy & Procedures and other relevant documentation.
  • Barker College will require all Teaching Staff to provide evidence of their Tertiary Qualifications and have an understanding of and experience in relevant NESA syllabus documents and teacher accreditation requirements.
  • All teaching staff participate in the School’s extensive Pastoral Care and co-curricular programs.  The ability to coach sports is highly desirable.
  • Referees will only be contacted after initial interviews have been carried out. Your present Principal should be listed amongst confidential referees.
