Are you a highly motivated Enrolled Nurse/AIN looking for a new and rewarding position within private health? An exciting opportunity exists at The George Centre for Enrolled Nurses and AIN’s to join our Surgical Ward team on a casual basis.
About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN
- Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Act as a role model for Safe Practice
- Administer medications according to state law and organisation policy
- Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
About you:
To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the requirements below:
- Minimum 12 months’ acute medical / surgical experience
- Experience in Orthopaedics, Urology, or Paediatrics is desirable
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
As an AIN, your responsibilities will include:
- Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties.
- Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
- Assess patients using therapeutic skills
- Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services, Personal Carer, undergraduate nursing student.
- Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired
