The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.The Enrolled Nurse in MHICU will provide high quality nursing care, specialising in the assessment, planning and implementation of strategies to manage consumers with mental illnesses who exhibit high risk behaviours and/or complex needs and in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality consumer care outcomes. This will involve liaison with other Mental Health services with regards to the referral, admission and return transfer of these consumers.The Enrolled Nurse within Mental Health Drug and Alcohol [MHDA] Services works alongside Registered Nurses and Allied Health to support quality patient health outcomes with a focus of recovery across a range of health care settings.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Annual Registration – Enrolled Nurse Division 2.
- Nursing experience, knowledge and skills relevant to acute inpatient Mental Health settings.
