Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network is a state-wide Specialty Health Network delivering health care to adults and young people in contact with the forensic mental health and criminal justice systems across community, inpatient and custodial settings.

What you'll be doing
The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) contributes to planning, implementing, evaluation of health issues and assisting in the provision of nursing care for patients.
The EEN is responsible for providing the day to day mental health and physical health care requirements of patients. This must be in line with the principles of recovery and forensic mental health rehabilitation. The EEN must integrate therapeutic goals with security requirements through constant appraisal of organisational processes and nurse-patient relationships to ensure that opportunities for therapeutic endeavour are maximised. All staff have a responsibility to maintain the safety and security of patients, staff and visitors within the high secure environment.

A comprehensive two week full time Orientation and Training is provided, with the next intake date on 6 February 2023

Selection Criteria: * Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge relevant to contemporary mental health nursing.
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality management, practice development and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge of issues relating to nursing in a high secure environment.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and relevant practice standards.
- Demonstrated understanding & commitment to the values of the Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network.
