What you will be doing: An exciting opportunity is available for an Enrolled Nurse to join the Aged Care Services at the Portland Tabulam Health Centre. In this role you will provide safe patient/ resident care as directed by the Nurse Manager Portland Tabulam. Provision of care activities to patients/residents in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse.
This role is to communicate effectively with patients/residents, their families and other health care team members. Contribute to and maintain accurate health information and documentation.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection Criteria to be Addressed:
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience and demonstrated skill in Aged Care Nursing.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Knowledge of and ability to work within a person-centred approach to nursing with a willingness to embrace change in the delivery of care.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible rotating roster (includes day, evening and night shift across all days of the week, including Public Holidays) according to the unit/service requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse.
