The Role:
We are excited to offer entry-level position as a Community Support Worker at Hunter Community Services.
As a Community Support Worker, you will:
- Deliver essential support services to our elderly consumers as per their care plan
- Provide domestic assistance and social support to help them live independently and thrive in their community
- Build meaningful connections and become a valued social link for those who may face isolation
- Contribute to improved health outcomes for older Australians
Please note: This role involves a considerable domestic support workload, such as housekeeping, cooking, and shopping. Applicants must be physically fit to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying.
About You:
To be successful, you will need:
- While there are no minimum standard qualifications for entry-level Support Workers, a clear passion and desire to provide the best quality of care to elderly consumers is essential
- A positive, can-do attitude, and resilience to persist with support and services.
- Must have reliable, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance and current Australian Driver’s License.
- First Aid (less than 3 years old) and CPR (less than 12 months old).
- Current National Police Check, or willing to obtain.
