About us:
DT Infrastructure has been entrusted with the contract to Design, Construction and Commission the Rail maintenance facility and stabling yards at Ormeau, in the Gold Coast region. The Ormeau facility will not only support rail manufacturing and maintenance in Queensland but also contribute to the success of the Cross River Rail project and the upcoming 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.
About the role:
We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor who will report to the Environmental & Sustainability Manager, and provide specialist environmental advice and input to project teams during the project lifecycle
- Day-to-day management of all on-site environmental aspects including field testing, site inspections, and any monitoring requirements within their designated areas
- Practical implementation of on-site environmental controls (e.g. erosion and sedimentation controls, incident response (including spills) and waste/spoil tracking.
- Implement and review Emergency response planning and response; test and control mechanisms and maintain documentation.
- Support the establishment of project specific environmental management system, procedures and tools to provide surety of successful project delivery and compliance with environmental plan.
- Data capture, reporting, response and notifications to client, contractual and Environmental Regulator.
About you:
- Tertiary degree in, Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability or associated disciplines.
- Experience within rail, transport, construction & resources, or engineering industries.
- Experience reporting, auditing and risk management procedures, and processes.
- Knowledge of environmental statutes, legislation, as well as compliance and reporting procedures and processes and competency to implement these.
- Experience reporting on environmental performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance.
