About the Role
Peninsula Private Hospital is actively looking for experienced Orderly's to work in our fast-paced, supportive team!
You will be part of a team responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness and efficient patient transportation to all areas of the hospital. The tasks include but are not limited to:
- Equipment cleaning and reporting of maintenance issues
- General Cleaning as required
- Transporting of patients using a bed mover (training provided onsite)
- Removal of soiled linen and waste from the wards to the collection areas
- Stocking of supplies
- Working outdoors at times as required
- Documentation – filling out of check lists and transport logs
- Following infection control principals
- Following OHS guidelines
- Some additional tasks in the hospital may be required overnight on occasion
Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times, you will maintain communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality outcomes are achieved for our patients.
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others and a commitment to your work. Your effective written and verbal communication skills will assist in providing excellent customer service at all times in line with facility standards.
You will also bring:
- Prior experience in a hospital orderly role is preferred but not essential
- Flexibility to work a rotating shifts is essential
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team structure and independently as required
- Act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers and staff
- A strong customer service focus and “can do” attitude
- Be reliable, self-motivated and have a friendly nature
Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $23.97 plus superannuation + experience.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
