The Suburban Connect consortium, comprising CPB Contractors, ACCIONA and Ghella, have been selected by the Victorian Government to deliver the first major tunnelling package on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project.
The package includes construction of a 16-kilometre section of the project’s twin tunnels, including tunnelling between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, 55 safety cross passages between the tunnels, station boxes at Clayton and Monash and the construction of portals – the entrances and exits to the tunnels – at the stabling facility.
About the Opportunity:
Join our team as an Environment Advisor and lead, plan, organise and control the environmental aspects of our mega Project including the development, implementation and control of project environmental plans.
As an Environmental Advisor you will be accountable for:
- Providing advice to our design, construction team and subcontractors to achieve project goals
- Commitment to, and ownership of, project objectives and Environmental Performance Requirement compliance
- Developing, implementing and maintaining Environmental Management Plans
- Conducting environmental inspections and audits.
- Identifying key environmental risks, and developing appropriate controls and communication for inclusion in work planning activities
- Influencing and fostering a strong HSE Culture through strong leadership and communication skills
- Participating or leading internal and external auditing of the Environmental Management system
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Environmental Engineering
- Construction environment management (3+ years)
- Knowledge of environment and construction legislation and industry practices
- Strong communication and influencing skills
