The EHS Advisor sits across the entire ANZ portfolio, supporting 12x sites including production, distribution and corporate office settings. The EHS function will be a team of 4 with this role, reporting into the Environmental Health and Safety Manager ANZ. This is a 2 year fixed term contract role with possibility of conversion to permanency.
The pure EHS component of this role will give you diversified exposure to risk profile across corporate, manufacturing, distribution and chemical amongst others, allowing you to build a portfolio of experience including product safety, incident investigation/management and regulatory as well as systems and hands-on OH&S.
Additionally, this role comes with an exciting opportunity to be part of an ERP implementation project as the organisation enters the next stage of their global journey, with this role supporting that project as an EHS subject matter expert working closely with the ANZ EHS Manager,
What we are looking for/why this role?
With this role offering a diversified challenge and opportunity almost unique to the role, the "who" is quite broad. This role would be well suited to a junior/mid level EHS professional looking to join a highly collaborative team with excellent ways of working. Having a newly built EHS system leaves for very little in the way of legacy challenges, so this new hire will be critical for continuing on the good work to date and building further capability in the function.
By way of skillset and exposure, the following experience will be well regarded:
- Formal qualifications in EITHER WHS/OH&S at Cert IV level OR degree qualified in science, chemistry, engineering or similar.
- Demonstrated hands on experience in an operational OH&S role. Circa 5 years would be ideal for this role, however if you have less tenure in the industry but strong experience in high risk environments such as manufacturing, transport, logistics or chemicals this will be well regarded. Similarly, if you come from more of a corporate EHS structure in a relevant field, we would also love to hear from you
- Critical to this role will be good working understanding of ERP systems due to the support required for this project. SAP or similar experience proferred
- Strong documentation and regulatory/compliance experience, this may have come in a dedicated role or with exposure to this in a previous role within your career to date.
