YOUR ROLE
As Environments and DevOps Lead, your role is to provide simple, reliable, and effective environments to support the delivery of program outcomes. This will involve gathering requirements, building an environment strategy and detailed plan, and then implementing and continually improving over a multi-year program of work.
You will balance the practical side of delivering and operating the environments required by the program, uplifting and enabling smarter, simpler, and more effective ways of working. To do this you will proactively apply SRE, observability, and DevOps practices to achieve more reliable and simpler-to-operate environments. As a key role in the program, you will also be involved in decision-making and problem-solving across a wide variety of domains. You will work with a wide variety of business, program, and technology stakeholders.
This is a full-time, permanent role that is open for Sydney and Melbourne locations and involves a hybrid work model.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an Environments and DevOps Lead, with excellent collaboration skills, a knack for innovation, and a focus on customer satisfaction, along with the following experience:
- Demonstrated technology leadership within a large enterprise program, working alongside application development and infrastructure teams.
- Experience applying DevOps, SRE, or Lean practices to improve delivery or operations.
- Experience in environment requirements and costs to support the SDLC.
- Passionate about environments, release, operations, and quality practices
- Hands-on experience as an engineer, including DevOps practices.
- Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of testing best practices.
- Desired personal or commercial insurance knowledge and experience
- 8+ years of experience in IT Transformation and Greenfields experience.
