ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Environmental Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our commitment to environmental excellence.
You will collaborate closely with the Environmental Manager to ensure that our operations align with contractual environmental standards, legal regulations, planning permissions, and the expectations of key stakeholders. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the development and execution of programs, projects, and initiatives aimed at enhancing our environmental stewardship.
KEY DUTIES AND TASKS
- Conduct fieldwork, including groundwater sampling and inspections, while coordinating sampling activities.
- Prepare, submit, and deliver reports, presentations, and regulatory documents such as Programme of Work, Mining Proposal, and more.
- Ensure strict compliance with requirements for regulatory submissions and licences, including Small Operators Mining Proposal, Works Approval, DWER Op Licence, Groundwater Licence, and Native Vegetation Clearing Permit.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and 3rd-party surveys, audits, and assessments, while tracking and recording relevant environmental data sets.
- Maintain the Environmental Obligations Register, liaise with operational departments, and engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in WA mining and approval processes.
- Exposure to planning, coordinating, implementing Baseline Studies, CP, MP, WA, EPA, Groundwater Licence applications / submissions.
- Assessment of environmental compliance and/or auditing.
- Exposure to stakeholder engagement and ability to directly manage a small team of Environmental Advisors or contractors.
- Experience in implementing abovementioned permit requirements in construction / operational setting.
- IT - Office suite.
- GIS - QGIS, MAPINFO, ARCVIEW.
- Design - Surpac, Vulcan.

- Receive $12k residential allowance per annum, if you are residential and not FIFO.
- Receive up to $5k site allowance per annum, depending on your site location.
