Our Environmental Advisor role:
This position is within the People, Safety, Environment & IT department reporting to the Superintendent Environment & Farms where you will support operations by ensuring environmental compliance and managing risk by implementing the ISO14001 management system and environment programs onsite.
As an Environmental Advisor your role will work with the Environment and Farms Team to:
- Support operations seeking and implementing opportunities to improve environmental performance
- Support monitoring programs (noise, air quality, vibration, weather, ecology, surface and ground water)
- Collate and report on multi-department data for internal and external reporting (i.e. ESG & NPI)
- Assist with coordinating consultants/contractors for environmental studies
- Conduct audits and inspections of operations, ensuring compliance to licence requirements
This is a 12-month maximum term contract with possible extension, based in the Parkes region of NSW. The successful applicant will possess the following essential criteria:
- Bachelor of Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Ecology or equivalent
- Understanding of relevant legislation including standards and codes of practice
- Mining Industry experience as an Environmental Advisor or equivalent
- Australian Drivers Licence (manual preferred)
