Freo Group are seeking a suitably experienced HSE Advisor to join our team.The position is a 3/1 Roster, 6 days per week (Mon - Sat) 10 hrs a day role based in Goyder.
Working within a close-knit team, you will be required to use your skills and expertise providing HSE support to our Key Stakeholders.
Reporting to the HSE Lead you will be responsible for but not be limited to:
- Participate and where required facilitate Toolbox and Pre-Start Meeting.
- Hazard and incident reporting.
- Promote and drive safety programs.
- Perform compliance and safety audits in line our safety management system.
- Weekly/Monthly safety reporting.
- Perform HSE Investigations.
- Provide advise/mentoring and coaching.
- Meet established KPI (inspections).
- Site safety management system is compliant.
- Provide HSE advice to all levels in accordance with FG policy and procedures, industry best practice and legislation, as required.
- Provide guidance to assist with the implementation and maintenance of the site safety management system.
- Provide advice on training and induction requirements in accordance with the FG training matrix.
You will have:
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a related position - in a similar industry.
- Three years' Health/Safety and Training experience.
- (Required) Appropriate qualifications in Health and Safety (i.e. Cert IV OSH or higher).
- (Desirable) Appropriate qualifications in Training (i.e. Cert IV TAE).
- (Desirable) ICAM root cause analysis training preferable.
- Two years' Mine site or Construction experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Exposure to High Risk Work or transport industries.
- Strong background in dealing with clients and contractors.
- Good knowledge of and the ability to use MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and understanding of AS/ISO45001 and AS/ISO14001.
