As the Environmental and Sustainability Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding projects towards compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability best practices. You will assess environmental impacts, develop strategies for compliance, and champion sustainable initiatives. Reporting to the QSE Manager, you will collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure environmental responsibility and sustainability throughout our operations. Project is based in Maryborough – would suit local candidates or FIFO candidates
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, science, biology, or related field.
- Experience in an environmental service role within the civil engineering/construction industry – ideally 5 years plus
- Strong understanding of sustainability concepts and experience implementing sustainability initiatives.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, laws, and sustainability principles.
- Strong analytical skills to assess environmental impacts and develop mitigation
- Champion of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.
