Job Summary
Martinus is seeking an Environment and Sustainability Advisor to support us on the Inland Rail Project. This position will be site-based. This role will suit someone local to Forbes or we will look at FIFO arrangements for the right candidate.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide day-to-day environment and Sustainability support to internal stakeholders.
- Plan and oversee environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage, water, waste, noise, and air.
- Conduct required site inspections and audits.
- Provide interpretation of results and regular progress reports against environment and Sustainability performance targets
- Collaborate with construction teams on environmental management requirements to ensure that we meet our obligations and improve performance.
- Support the environmental systems needs of the business including implementation, regular reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the management of environmental issues, including incident investigations.
- Maintain ISO14001 Accreditation requirements.
- Implement the Project’s sustainability strategies including the Sustainability Management Plan
- Submit permits and approvals as required.
- Collection of data and analysis of subcontractor and supplier sustainability performance
- Promote compliance in project environment and Sustainability matters, delivery of training, toolboxes and awareness programs.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, councils, regulators, and other community stakeholders.
