Due to the increased growth within the business, we are seeking an Environmental Field Technician to support the team who can think on their feet and effectively balance client expectations with project requirements on-site.
This position is a full time, part time or casual role depending on the correct candidate. The candidate is required to be available for day shift and potential night shift work included.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate and reliable data for technical reports and proposals
- Preparation of high-quality reports in timely manner
- Provide environmental consulting and contaminated land services
- Assist with procurement & supervision of contractors
- Provide occupational hygiene and environmental services to our clients in the field
- Field observations and risk assessments
- Field Sampling & Monitoring including soil testing, groundwater and hazardous materials
- Work both autonomously and in a team environment
Qualifications & experience
- White Card (CPCWHS1001/CPCCWHS1001) - desirable
- Railway Industry Worker (RIW) card attainment - desirable
- Drivers licence - current
- Environmental Field Technician with previous 1-2+ years of experience (desirable)
- Relative industry experience of 1-2+ years (desirable)
- Relevant degree in related field e.g. Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Science and/or similar fields
About You
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of EPA guidelines, soil remediation and classifications
- Previous experience composing site investigations
- Availability in work hours (shifts) and locations (Victoria)
- Strong attention to detail
