The PositionPhysiotas are seeking a motivated and compassionate Allied Health Assistantto join their team. As an integral member of their practice, you will work closely with their team of physiotherapists and exercise physiologists to deliver exceptional care and support to their patients.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with exercise programs (e.g., stretches, resisted exercise with weights, recording weights and repetitions, balance, and walking exercises).
- Assisting the Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist in providing exercise classes (e.g., circuit classes and hydrotherapy), assisting with patient care when receiving prescribed exercise programs.
- Ensuring all equipment is kept clean and tidy.
- Documenting all therapy sessions and ensuring case notes are updated accordingly.
- Monitoring patients' concerns, current health state, and progress in the therapy programs and reporting on these to the relevant therapist.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (essential).
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and tasks.
