We are looking for a friendly and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our Client Experience Team in a full time capacity.
Your role will include reception duties, including but not limited to;
- Welcoming and assisting patients with inquiries and appointments.
- Answering and responding to telephone calls in a empathetic, caring and professional manner.
- Accurately processing patient payments (via eftpos and/or health fund claims.)
- Ensure the accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records.
- At all times maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information.
- Providing high level administration support to all Specialists and Allied Health Practitioners.
- Supporting the day to day operations of the practice.

Previous experience in:
- General Practice, Allied Health or Specialist Medical Practice preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of medical software
- High level phone etiquette
- Understanding of medical terminology preferred
- High level governance of sensitive/confidential information
- Understanding of Medicare, item numbers and private health fund claiming
- Understanding of the principles of work health and safety
