Environmental Planning Assistant

Innovative Farming Solutions is an agricultural services and equipment company that works with clients in the dairy industry to design and construct 'Intensive Housing' (Cow Barns). To support the planning and construction of these projects we are seeking an Environmental Planning Assistant to work along side the Managing Director to delivery a range of client specific documentation to support Development Applications and Planning Application for projects across Australia.

Applicants must be competent in researching, referencing and compiling detailed reports to an approved industry format. Must have the ability to work unattended, meet deadlines and work efficiently. High standard of work is a must as well a great attention to detail. You will be expected to communicate with clients, local planning authorities including councils, Environmental Protection Authorities (EPA), Agricultural Victoria, Dairy Australia and others.

Reports and management plans include (but not limited to):
 

• Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)
• Effluent Management Plans (EfMP) - State specific
• Environmental Management Plans (EMP)
• Odour Assessment and Management Plans- S Factor

Other tasks may include:
 

• Drafting and submitting local council planning applications
• Drafting and submitting state licensing applications for 'Intensive housing - State specific

This is an office based role with minimal/NIL travel involved.

Training and support will be provided. Office location is Warrnambool Victoria and you will be expected to attend the office for face-to-face meetings.

Innovative Farming Solutions is a small family orientated business that understand the need for flexibility around family. Flexible hours and days are available as long as time lines are being meet as most projects are fixed contract. Hours can/will vary depending on work load and contracts.
