We have a unique opportunity for an Environmental Scientist to join our 'Compliance Service' Environmental Team based in Newcastle and to take the next step in their career.

The 'Compliance Service' Team comprises of three sub teams, Air Modelling, Occupation Health and Safety and Environmental Compliance monitoring.

Your role will involve undertaking field / site-based work collecting environmental samples then back to the office for high quality reporting and data management. We love our hybrid working at AECOM but given the nature of your responsibilities - this position will require you to be present in the workplace for a large majority of the time.

Qualifications

AECOM are seeking a keen and adaptable candidate to work in our Newcastle Environmental Compliance Services Team.

As a junior Scientist, we understand you are at the start of your career journey, so we are not looking to you to arrive with a wealth of experience. We are looking for enthusiastic learners and those who are passionate about building a career within the Environmental Engineering industry.

You will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science, engineering, geology, or earth science.

  • Ideally 2 - 5 years' relevant experience as an Environmental Scientist

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - proficient in Microsoft Suite programs.

  • Capabilities or working knowledge of GIS or coding preferable.

  • The flexibility and willing attitude to perform a range of tasks, often at short notice.

  • Driving Licence and Full Working Rights.
