About Us
Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals run. We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services. The General Services Department at Casey requires an Environmental Services Assistant to work as part of our team performing cleaning in Theatre (Night shift).
Environmental Services Assistant – Theatre (Night shift)
Monday and Tuesday 20.30 – 04.30
(30 hours per fortnight)
About the Role
The ideal candidate will enjoy working within a committed team, with a good understanding on infection control cleaning processes within a health care setting and strives to consistently deliver high quality and efficient cleaning services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Environmental cleaning
- Cleaning of floor surfaces
- Cleaning stairwells, windows, window ledges and other surfaces
- Bathroom and toilet cleaning
About You
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning in a healthcare environment (Desirable)
- A clear understanding of the Victorian Public Hospital Cleaning Standards (Desirable)
- Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Is able to work unsupervised but take direction
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Ability to understand, follow and implement written instructions and company procedures
- The ability to maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality
- A “Can Do” attitude with the capability to problem solve and troubleshoot
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
