An exciting temporary leadership opportunity has arisen in the role of the Environmental Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides the support to the organisation over a wide range of Environmental services, including but not limited to all site cleaning, waste control, consumer needs/assistance, accommodation, pest and vermin, as well as providing expert advice, reporting, policy advice and participating in project work. This stimulating role is a great leadership opportunity for someone who is flexible, enjoys working within a team and is dedicated to providing a great service outcome to the staff and consumers of WGHG.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Formal qualifications in an appropriate discipline of study and/or extensive management experience.
- Advanced computer skills, including using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Outstanding organisational and daily management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A passion for leading people.
The following experience/qualifications would be also considered advantageous:
- Previous experience within a hospital or health care environment.
- Certificate III or above in Business, Health Cleaning or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience leading people.
IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated for fully vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
What a week in the role looks like:
- Ensuring all areas within scope are compliant with relevant standards.
- Participate in consumer activities ensuring the service meets consumer expectations.
- Roster review to ensure daily coverage of all tasks.
- Respond to department requests.
- Lead and participate in required meetings.
- Coach, guide and support direct team on the job.
- Complete audits and inspections.
- Conduct training sessions.
- Review department P&L spends.
- Complete KPI reporting.
