- Manage and improve environmental related controls/processes/practices in the field to facilitate environmental compliance and sustainability of Project activities.
- Possess the ability manage and execute environmental and heritage monitoring and reporting requirements in accordance with regulatory approvals and mining agreement commitments.
- Possess the ability to liaise with frontline leaders, on-site Project team, and Contracting Partners to achieve compliance with the regulatory monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Comptency in engaging with frontline leaders, on-site Project team, the wider Client Projects and Asset teams and Contracting Partners, and applicable external stakeholders to achieve optimal Project environmental, regulatory approval and heritage outcomes.
- Possess the ability to execute first and second line environmental and approvals assurance activities to identify and address potential gaps.
- Possess the ability to facilitate or lead investigations into environmental or heritage events ensuring a variety of internal and external stakeholders are provided with an opportunity to contribute and remained informed, as required.
- Possess the ability to determine the underlying cause of problems and evaluate multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
- Possess capability to effectively identify, assess and manage Project environmental and compliance risks, to make risk informed decisions using the client's risk management framework.
- Maintain and/or review environmental management plans, procedures, and compliance documents.
- Ability to partner with stakeholders to build a culture of collaboration and achieve change through influence.
- Ability to work autonomously, designing and executing compliance programs to satisfy approval obligations.
- Sound physical fitness to undertake field work and support environmental and heritage survey activities.
- High degree of technical knowledge and experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory approvals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
