Environmental Strategy Manager

City of Newcastle is looking for an experienced Environmental Strategy Manager to provide strategic leadership and management of the Environmental Strategy team, ensuring the effective and integrated delivery of components of the Newcastle Environment Strategy (NES) and associated programs and projects, as well as coastal and flood risk management programs.
The position will oversee the development and delivery of best practice environmental policies, strategies and action plans that contribute to CN's transformative and ambitious vision of a sustainable Newcastle, whilst managing a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist environmental advice organisationally and externally, to advance positive environmental and sustainability outcomes.
This position will provide visible and dynamic leadership, promote a high performing culture and a collaborative team approach, and build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
