The mining industry has a pivotal role to play in the green transition, and WSP's team of dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry in delivering the metals and minerals required for a greener future, in a sustainable and responsible manner. WSP Mining covers the whole mining lifecycle from exploration and resource assessment, through mine planning and design, infrastructure and processing, project execution, sustaining operations through to closure and relinquishment. We have the capability to develop projects from the pit to the port working for the world's largest mining companies not only in Australia, but across the globe.
About you
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering
- CPEng and RPEQ; or working towards
- Experience in the Australian infrastructure industry, mining consultancy experience an advantage
- Technical skills across a broad range of areas in the infrastructure sector
- Ability to break down complex problems, develop cohesive strategic responses, and then present to stakeholders to come to an agreement on a preferred way forward;
- Demonstrated experience 'thinking outside the box' and challenging the status quo;
- Identify strategic risks, situations where these risks may become problematic during project delivery and inform the project team.
- Interest in the environmental, sustainability and social impacts of our work and ability to take this into account when developing decision making processes.
- Experience in the application of modelling software and/or analytics techniques.
