As a Coates Labourer (Internally known as Equipment Maintenance Controllers) at our Gunnedah branch, you will be responsible for the cleaning and inspection tasks of equipment at the branch. This includes some minor repairs and adjustments and the use of test instruments. In addition, our Labourers (or Equipment Maintenance Coordinator) are a support role within our workshop mechanics/electricians to enable them to focus on equipment repairs and more complex tasks.
- Monday to Friday 7.00 am – 3:06 pm or 8:54 am to 5.00 pm pending on the branch’s need
- Overtime when required.
- Perform loading and unloading including spotting and general yard duties to maintain the yard to a high standard.
- Check and control equipment (inbound & outbound) as it comes in and out of the yard inclusive of the spotting function.
- Perform basic inspection checks and minor repairs of equipment at the branch - EWP’s (Booms and Scissor Lifts), Excavators, Light Towers, small equipment
- Assist in keeping workshop, yard and service area clean, tidy and safe.
About you This role is perfect if you are mechanically minded, enjoy fixing equipment and a trade qualification is in your career plans. As well as having amazing customer service skills and a Can-Do, flexible attitude, you will have:
- Current driver’s license is essential, & forklift high risk license will be highly regarded
- Good verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Intermediate computer skills, time management & organisational skills
- Be physically fit and knowledgeable about safety standards
- Mechanical equipment knowledge is desirable
