As part of our commitment to the environment, governance and sustainability, we have a newly created position for an ESG Manager to lead us into the future.
You are a passionate and experienced ESG manager and have demonstrated experience in leading projects, understanding legislation, and presenting to clients within the construction space.
You may have a degree in environmental science or 5 years experience in a similar capacity
Your research methods are thorough, your communication skills are brilliant and you are looking for a company that will practice what is preached and support your initiatives.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead with an informed approach cognisant of legislation, client contract requirements, and stakeholder expectations within an environmental and social governance context
- Continue to develop and work on the company ESG competency and capability, and implement pragmatic guidelines for the business support services
- Collaborate and support internal stakeholders with operational responsibilities relating to business and contract plans under the ESG umbrella, to report in accordance with a wide range of frameworks
- Work on sustainability projects with our Tier 1 clients and executive team
- Guide economic participation policy and planning, looking for opportunities for social procurement and being the voice that supports achieving the goals of our related plans
- Work with People and Culture on continuing with our Diversity and Inclusion Plan, Disability Engagement Plan, and Reconciliation Action Plan- Innovate to progress our goals and vision
- Work on our corporate responsibilities as an organisation believing in protecting the environment
- Manage future projects and implement protocols for issues escalation as they relate to the ESG plan and obligations
- Contribute content and analytics for internal and contract reporting
- Review and create our agenda and capability statements
- Work closely with the executive suite on various projects and initiatives
- Experience leading a sustainability/governance and environmental program
- Tertiary Education in environmental science, communications, marketing, human resources or business
- Advanced Microsoft Office
- You are a warm, enthusiastic, and engaging communicator, a team player who is happy to lend a hand
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to present in public forums
