Our Client, a large Federal Government Department located in Capital Hill is seeking multiple highly skilled Senior Business Analysts with physical security subject matter expeience such as Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) systems, Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS), etc.
To deliver on this program of works, the Business Analyst/s will be responsible for supporting individual projects, as well as the broader program objectives and outcomes. The successful applicant/s will:
- Lead a range of business and technical stakeholder engagements to gather and translate their needs into detailed business requirements;
- Collaborate with technical specialists, including external vendors, to design and develop solutions that deliver the detailed business requirements;
- Develop functional and non-functional specifications, process models, data mapping, traceability matrices, and other supporting artefacts;
- Prepare and facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions with business and technical stakeholders;
- Prepare testing material and facilitate testing activities with business and technical stakeholders;
- Contribute to project management activities, such as the development and presentation of project documentation and strategies to mitigate risks/issues;
- Work collaboratively with the Program and Project Managers and support the broader objectives and outcomes of the program, including contribution to effective reporting;
- Other related activities to support the successful delivery of ESS projects as required.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex projects managing both business and technology change, delivering in an Agile and Waterfall environments;
- Highly developed verbal, written and presentation skills including the ability to present recommendations clearly and effectively with strong attention to detail;
- Robust stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation with both business and technical stakeholders, and develop positive, effective relationships;
- Extensive experience in preparing and presenting analysis artefacts including business requirements, user journeys, stories, and cases as well as complex documentation;
- A track record of professionalism, pragmatism, resilience, and personal integrity;
- A self-starter with demonstrated experience in leading all aspects of business analysis work with minimum direction.
Desirable criteria
- Experience working with electronic security systems, including but not limited to CCTV and EACS (including access card management) technologies.
