Join us and help drive innovation and sustainability in our projects.Estimator - PipingRole Context:Worley Field Services business is recruiting a Piping Estimator to join the Estimating team in Grimsby on a permanent basis. We are looking for candidates from a Pipefitter trade background who have experience of Estimating or would like the opportunity to use their trades knowledge and move into an Estimating position.You'll be:

• The Piping Estimator who is responsible for developing and managing to estimate plans, contributing to and overseeing the detailed development of the estimates, coordinating with other departments and/or offices as required and conducting estimate reviews with senior management.
• Preparing and managing estimate/bid packages, ensuring all required documentation/information is included
• Preparing discipline by discipline quantity take-offs (structural, equipment installation, piping fabrication, installation and pressure testing)
• Attending site walkarounds with the client to fully understand the proposed scope of work.
• Working with subcontracts to prepare and distribute subcontractor RFQ packages for work within project scope but not performed internally, including defining the scope of work, providing drawings, specifications and required documentation
• Developing detailed indirect estimates, both on-site and off-site support
• Completing detailed cost calculations including indirect, direct labour, material, rentals, subcontracts, and equipment
• Determining specific strategies in response to bids including scheduling, execution plan, and subcontractor requirements
• Gathering, analyzing, input and compile information for negotiated work; submit the required information to Operations
• Compiling work packages, upon successful award for shop and site works Worley is an equal opportunity employer
• Attending weekly Estimating meetings to discuss current bids and work in partnership with fabrication workshop to discuss upcoming workload.
• Reporting into the Customer Solutions Manager you will input into proposal documentation in order to develop a winning bid for Worley Field Services.

QualificationsYou'll have:Essential:

• Detailed understanding and experience in Piping activities
• Proficient with office software (MS Word and Excel)
• Experience in reading drawings and specifications and translating them into cost estimates
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful, with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong time management skills

Desirable:

• Experience in computerized estimating systems
• Understanding of project execution planning and critical path scheduling
• Mechanical and Structural knowledge is beneficial
