We are leading sheetmetal and Fabrication Workshop that delivers custom products and services to a variety of industires, mainly to the mining sector.
About the role
As a Estimator / Project Manager your key objectives are to quote and manage sheet Metal Fabrication projects, mainly focused in the Mining Industry.
- Building Quotes - creating Material Take-offs from Drawing BOM and calculating labour time required.
- Liaise with clients via phone calls, emails and face to face interactions.
- Read and understand technical drawings.
- Working with trades personal on shop floor to help them understand the job/task.
- Project management, purchase materials, track materials and time, and ensure job efficiency and reduce bottle necking.
About You & Experience
Ideally we are seeking a candidate with the following attributes:
- Trades background in the Metal Fabrication industry.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Outlook)
- knowledge on metal bending and rolling would be an advantage.
- Experience with 3D Solidworks and/or 2D CAD drafting would be an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Estimate fabrication, laser cutting, rolling & bending projects.
- Detailing jobcards from drawings, ordering materials and liaising with trades persons.
