Presently we are experiencing a growth in our Attic Living Division and we have a position available for a construction admin coordinator.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join our team in the Mascot on a full-time basis. Your primary focus will be to manage the estimating and ordering and assist in project management for residential alterations and additions.
Going forward, taking responsibility for the same role in Victoria.
Works With:
- Reporting to the Construction Manager, your main responsibilities will be to work closely with the sales team, project managers, suppliers and clients to generate cost accurate and competitive proposals for a variety of items and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate pricing for contracts and variations including appropriate margin considerations
- Prepare relevant quotes and pricing for variations
- Negotiate rates and costs with preferred suppliers, sub-contractors and trades.
- Produce accurate documentation within budgeted timelines
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of company products and services
- Preparing accurate BOQ's
- Excellent customer service skills, working with project manager, supervisors, suppliers, trades people and contractors
- Maintaining trade and supplier relationships
- Prepare estimates and purchase orders
- Ensure timely completion of estimates
- Maintain polite and professional communication via phone and e-mail
- Complete regular site inspections to understand client requirements
Requirement of skills, qualification, and experiences:
- Have minimum 3 years’ experience in an Estimating role with Residential construction (Home renovation & Extension - not essential but preferable)
- Sound knowledge of construction practices and building standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Be confident liaising with general contractors, project engineers/coordinators and consultant
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and stay focused under pressure
- The ability to build strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
