Residential Estimator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Estimator to join our team in Coffs Harbour, NSW. As an essential member of our construction team, you will play a key role in accurately estimating the costs and resources required for residential construction projects.

Responsibilities:

            •          Analyse architectural plans and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects.

            •          Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for project estimates.

            •          Evaluate project specifications and requirements to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.

            •          Utilise estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure accuracy.

            •          Prepare detailed and comprehensive project proposals and bids.

            •          Review and analyse project budgets and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.

            •          Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

            •          Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to address any questions or concerns regarding project estimates.

Requirements:

            •          Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the residential construction industry.

            •          Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and standards.

            •          Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.

            •          Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

            •          Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

            •          Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

            •          Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

            •          Diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
